announces

Contemporary Realism:

The Art Renewal Center's
14th Virtual ARC Salon Exhibit

This is a huge achievement for the Representational Art Movement! Having an organization like Sotheby's host an event like this for Contemporary Realist Art says a lot about the growth of this movement.

The Art Renewal Center's 14th Virtual ARC Salon Exhibition is now live at Sothebys.com

"Featuring 70 short video interviews with many of the exhibiting artists from around the world (2 hours of video content), a newly created digital exhibition catalog, and a virtual walk through exhibition space. Also included is a written interview with Kara Lysandra Ross covering topics such as the importance of representational art and why it is a good investment and a short video capturing the core philosophy of the movement including live footage of the exhibition while on view at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain".

Honored To Share Some Great News...

Kline Academy of Fine Arts

congratulates our instructor Lana Gloschat
on her recent "Best in Show" award.

Very honored, Lana Gloschat, award-winning artist, colorist, and instructor, was selected to receive the "Best in Show" award in the 2019 Colored Pencil Magazine's art competition.

Noted by the judges, Lana's highly realistic portrait demonstrates great technical skill. In Judge Paul Hink's words, "the expressions on the faces of the man and the boy are captured perfectly, and the luminous rendering of the skin tones creates a feeling of light and freshness. This depiction of an every day activity is also elevated by the sensitive observation of a moment shared between father and son."

Congratulations on an exceptional piece Lana.

Work under Lana Gloschat's guidance and expertise
every Monday, from 6:45pm - 9:45pm.

Drawing with Color and Dry Media

We recently came across an interesting article regarding Artist-run Galleries. Established in unusual locations, garages, apartments, you name it, these Artist-run Galleries are defying the odds as they compete with mega-dealer trends in Los Angeles. A detailed discussion about the vision behind these artist-run galleries is also introduced, detailing the motivation of the Artists and how they managed to maintain a career as an artist while running a gallery.
